DIET, Alipurduar was established on 24th April, 2015 and its main function is to train both in-service and pre-service teachers. Apart from teachers’ training, the institute performs various education related activities as envisioned in the National Policy of Education, 1986 and POA, 1992. Right from its inception, DIET, Alipurduar has been an important stakeholder in terms of education and various educational policies in the district.
